KASTAR 25 Low VOC Acrylic Water-Based Fireproof Coating
KASTAR 25 Low VOC Acrylic Water-Based Fireproof Coating is a high-performance intumescent solution designed for superior fire protection. Featuring a low-VOC, water-based formula, it provides a reliable thermal barrier for steel and timber. This eco-friendly coating ensures structural integrity during fire emergencies while maintaining a professional finish.=
KASTAR 25 Product Description
KASTAR 25 Low VOC Acrylic Water-Based Fireproof Coating is engineered for professional engineering projects that demand the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. Utilizing advanced intumescent technology, this coating expands when exposed to extreme heat, forming a dense carbonaceous char that insulates substrates and significantly delays structural failure during fire incidents.
Formulated with premium acrylic emulsions, KASTAR 25 Fireproof Coating provides excellent adhesion to primed steel, timber, and other construction materials. Its water-based, low-VOC composition ensures a safer application environment, making it the preferred choice for indoor commercial spaces, high-rise buildings, and sensitive industrial facilities where air quality is a priority.
This fireproof solution combines aesthetic versatility with rigorous protection. KASTAR 25 Fireproof Coating is easy to apply and fast-drying, enabling high-efficiency construction workflows. Its durable finish resists cracking and peeling, ensuring long-term fire safety and reducing maintenance overhead for large-scale infrastructure and commercial developments.

How to Use
The best results can be achieved by airless spray application. When brushing , multiple coats may be required to achieve the specified total system dry film thickness.
To achieve the best drying conditions, it is recommended to apply more than 2 coats when the dry film thickness is greater than 500 microns . Pay attention to the minimum overcoating interval between coats.
In order to obtain the best construction and drying performance, the air and substrate temperature must be greater than 5 °C and the relative humidity must be less than 85%. The coated surface temperature must be at least 3°C higher than the dew point.
When constructing in a confined space, ensure adequate ventilation.
The final appearance of the product depends on the construction
method. For visible areas, it is best to use the spraying method for construction. In order to obtain a high decorative surface, other treatments may be required.(regardless of whether there is topcoat) should be protected and avoid contact with static water and flowing water. The product cannot be used in areas that are frequently immersed/soaked.
The sealing paint applied on this product must form a defect-free continuous coating film.
Construction guidance
Surface treatment:
Before applying fire retardant coating, the dust, oil stains, and debris on the cable surface should be cleaned and polished away, and the fire retardant coating can be applied only after the surface is dry.
Construction :
Use spraying, brushing and other methods, stir well when using, when the coating is slightly thick, dilute with appropriate amount of tap water to facilitate spraying.
During the construction process and before the coating is dry, it should be waterproof, sun-proof, pollution-proof, anti-movement, anti-bending, and repaired in time if damaged .
For wires and cables with plastic or rubber sheath, generally more than 3 coats are directly applied , and the coating thickness is 0.5-1mm.
For insulated cables wrapped with oil paper, a layer of glass cloth should be wrapped first, and then painted. If the construction is carried out outdoors or in a humid environment, a matching topcoat varnish should be added.
Safety measures :
Although this product is a water-based paint, protective measures must be taken to avoid inhaling paint mist and try to keep the paint from coming into contact with the skin and eyes.
